Our Family business was founded and created generations ago in Lucca, an ancient walled city of Tuscany, where children learned to cast sculpture when they learned to read and write. In 1963 the business was brought over the United States . In a natural progression, Donato Design went from plaster to cement to a new synthetic material we call Synthastone. In our hands it looks absolutely natural. It is virtually indestructible; it may be used indoors and out, for it is impervious to weather. It is substantial, yet not too heavy to lift . It is available in any custom size and colors.
